TERMS AND CONDITIONS OF SALE

  1. ABOUT US

Flat Roofing Online is operated by Share Moss Group Limited, registered in England and Wales under company number 16164329.

Registered office: 25 Buckingham Grove, Kingswinford, England, DY6 9EA.

Email: sales@flatroofingonline.com.

Our registered office is not a public trade counter or collection point. Please contact us before sending goods or arranging a visit.

  1. THESE TERMS

These terms apply to purchases of roofing materials from Flat Roofing Online. Please read them alongside the product description, Shipping Policy and Return and Refund Policy before ordering.

A consumer is an individual buying wholly or mainly for purposes outside their trade, business, craft or profession. Business customers purchase for business purposes.

Consumer protections apply whenever you legally qualify as a consumer, regardless of whether you use a trade account.

Any separately negotiated business terms must be expressly agreed in writing before the order is accepted.

  1. ORDERS AND ACCEPTANCE

Please check your chosen products, quantities, measurements, delivery address and contact details before submitting an order.

Submitting an order is an offer to buy. An automated acknowledgement or payment receipt confirms that we have received your order; it does not by itself confirm acceptance.

We accept your order when we send an email expressly confirming acceptance or dispatch the goods, whichever happens first.

If we cannot accept an order, we will explain why and promptly refund any payment taken for the goods we cannot supply.

Please quote your order number when contacting us.

  1. PRODUCT INFORMATION AND SUITABILITY

We aim to provide accurate descriptions, dimensions and product information. Images may show a representative product or range where this is stated. Packaging and screen-displayed colours may vary, but goods must match their contractual description.

Please check compatibility, quantities and installation requirements before ordering. Follow the relevant manufacturer’s instructions and use appropriately qualified installers where required.

If you ask us to supply goods for a particular purpose, please explain your requirements before ordering so we can confirm any advice in writing. Nothing in these terms removes rights arising from advice on which you reasonably rely.

For products made to measurements you provide, you are responsible for supplying accurate measurements. We remain responsible for supplying goods in accordance with the agreed specification.

  1. PRICES, VAT AND PAYMENT

The applicable product price, VAT and delivery charges will be shown before you commit to payment. Where a trade price is shown excluding VAT, it will be identified accordingly and the applicable VAT will be included in the total payable.

Payment is required when ordering unless we expressly agree credit terms in writing. Available payment methods are displayed at checkout.

If we identify a pricing error before acceptance, we will contact you to confirm whether you wish to proceed at the correct price or receive a refund. We will not charge a higher amount without your agreement.

Changes to published prices apply to future orders and do not automatically change an accepted order.

  1. CHANGES TO ORDERS

Contact sales@flatroofingonline.com promptly if you need to amend an order.

We will check whether cutting, manufacture or dispatch has begun and explain whether the change is possible. Any resulting change to price or delivery arrangements must be agreed before we proceed.

We will not substitute materially different goods without your agreement. There is no blanket one-hour deadline restricting consumer cancellation rights.

  1. DELIVERY AND COLLECTION

Delivery availability, charges and estimates are explained in our Shipping Policy and confirmed during ordering.

Orders may arrive in separate consignments. Large or palletised deliveries are normally kerbside. Please tell us about restricted access or unloading requirements before ordering.

For consumer orders, unless another delivery period is agreed, we will deliver without undue delay and within 30 days after the contract is made.

If delivery is delayed, contact us. Your legal rights to set an appropriate further delivery deadline or, where applicable, end the contract and obtain a refund remain unaffected.

Please wait until all materials have arrived and been checked before arranging installation.

Collection is available only by prior written agreement, with a confirmed address, collection time and reference.

  1. RESPONSIBILITY AND OWNERSHIP

For consumer orders, goods remain our responsibility until they come into your physical possession, or that of a person you identify to receive them, subject to any applicable legal exception where you independently appoint a carrier.

For business orders, risk passes on completion of delivery to the agreed location.

Ownership passes when we have received full payment for the relevant goods.

  1. CONSUMER CANCELLATIONS AND RETURNS

For eligible standard goods, we extend the usual 14-day cancellation period to 30 days after receipt. Where one order is delivered in parts, the period runs from receipt of the last delivery.

You can cancel by emailing sales@flatroofingonline.com or sending us another clear statement. You do not need to give a reason.

After notifying us, send the goods back within 14 days. Contact us for the correct return address. You pay the direct return cost for a change-of-mind return unless we agree otherwise. For goods that cannot normally be returned by post, we will provide the return cost or a reasonable estimate before ordering.

You may inspect goods as you would in a shop. Where legally permitted, a refund may be reduced for loss in value caused by handling beyond what is necessary to establish their nature, characteristics and functioning.

For cancellation of a whole eligible order, we refund the goods and standard outbound delivery charge. Any additional premium for a more expensive delivery option need not be refunded.

We refund the original payment method within 14 days after receiving the goods back or evidence that you sent them, whichever is earlier, unless we have offered to collect them.

No automatic restocking charge applies to statutory consumer cancellations.

  1. BESPOKE GOODS

The statutory change-of-mind cancellation right may not apply to goods genuinely made to your specifications or clearly personalised. We will identify an applicable exception before you order.

Goods are not automatically exempt merely because they are described as cut to size.

Any voluntary cancellation or return outside statutory rights must be agreed individually. Any proposed charge will be explained and must be lawful.

Rights relating to faulty or misdescribed goods remain unaffected.

  1. FAULTY, DAMAGED, INCORRECT OR MISSING GOODS

Please contact us promptly with your order number and details of the problem. Photographs, where available, help us investigate.

Please inspect deliveries and record visible damage with the courier where practical. Consumer rights do not depend on signing for goods as damaged or notifying us within three days.

Consumer goods must be of satisfactory quality, fit for purpose and as described. We will provide the remedy required by law, which may include rejection and refund, repair, replacement or a price reduction.

We bear reasonable return costs where required by law. Manufacturer guarantees are additional to statutory rights.

  1. BUSINESS ORDERS

Business customers do not have the statutory consumer cooling-off right. Change-of-mind cancellations and returns require our written agreement unless another contractual or legal right applies.

Any agreed return conditions and charges will be explained before the customer commits to the return. No blanket percentage restocking charge is created by these terms.

Please notify us of defects within a reasonable time after discovery and give us a reasonable opportunity to inspect the goods.

Nothing in these terms excludes statutory terms concerning title, description, quality or fitness for purpose.

Trade credit, special warranties and other account-specific arrangements apply only where expressly agreed in writing.

  1. OUR RESPONSIBILITY

We are responsible for loss or damage for which we are legally liable.

For consumers, this includes foreseeable loss caused by our breach of contract or failure to use reasonable care and skill.

For business customers only, and to the extent lawful and reasonable, we exclude liability for indirect or consequential loss and loss of profit, revenue, business or business opportunity.

Nothing excludes or limits liability for death or personal injury caused by negligence, fraud, fraudulent misrepresentation, or any liability that cannot lawfully be excluded or limited.

  1. DELAYS AND FAILURE TO PERFORM

If an event outside our reasonable control affects supply, we will notify you promptly, take reasonable steps to reduce its effects and explain the options.

This does not remove applicable rights to cancel, obtain a refund or seek another legal remedy.

If you fail to pay, provide essential information or allow delivery, we will contact you and give a reasonable opportunity to resolve the problem before ending an accepted contract where legally permitted.

Any deduction or claim for resulting costs must be lawful, reasonable and reflect recoverable loss. We will refund sums that remain due to you.

  1. INSTALLERS

Any independent installer you appoint is responsible for their own services under your agreement with them.

A recommendation does not create a contract for installation with Flat Roofing Online. This does not exclude responsibility for our own statements, negligence or obligations where the law makes us responsible.

  1. PERSONAL INFORMATION

Our Privacy Policy explains how we use personal information, including information needed to process orders and arrange supplier or courier delivery.

  1. COMPLAINTS AND OTHER TERMS

Please send complaints to sales@flatroofingonline.com so we can investigate and respond.

The terms applicable to your order are those agreed when the contract is made. Later website changes do not automatically alter an existing contract.

Any transfer of our obligations must not reduce your consumer rights or guarantees. If a provision is unenforceable, the remaining provisions continue to apply where legally possible.

These terms are governed by the law of England and Wales. Consumers retain any mandatory protections and rights to bring proceedings in the courts of their home jurisdiction. For business disputes, the courts of England and Wales have exclusive jurisdiction.

Nothing in these terms limits your statutory rights.
